Lakshmi Menon is a leading actress in the Indian television series circuit. Of recent times, there have been certain rumors about her plans to quit the industry. It was said that she was not happy with the type of roles she was receiving of late. However, there has been an abrupt change in her decision to quit the screen and this change was immediately attributed from an offer for a role that she got from Kollywood. She has been asked to play opposite famous actor, Jayam ravi in a movie by Shakti Soundar Rajan. She has confirmed the news and told the media that she accepted the work for she felt that the role offered her opportunities to explore new territories. Till date she has only been seen in the roles of village girls but with this part she will be getting the opportunity to transform her image in to that of a modern woman. There have been other rumors, that of her acting as a famous actors sister in an upcoming movie but she has been known to deny all such news. However, she sticks by her decision on the film with Jayam Ravi and is quite eager about it.
